Shownotes: Episode 039. Interview with Rev K. O. Noonoo, Pastor at Pittsburgh Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, KS
There Is Water in the Well
Living from God’s center means that K.O. Noonoo is well connected to the well that is not in a solid way. The well is the source.
Make Room for Daily Silence
God’s primary language is silence. K.O. spends 25 to 30 minutes in daily silence. Without that time, he feels not well-connected and harried. He has less access to wisdom in his thinking process. It’s as if everything comes in slow motion. With it, he is rested. Everything is manageable.
It is a choice. Once K.O. starts the day that way, he can return back there at any time. It’s a place of rest and centered.
Path to Get There
K.O. was very tired during seminary. He had a chance to go on a retreat. It turned out to be a silent retreat. For the first time he heard about The Great Silence. It was difficult initially then he came to appreciate it as it had a positive impact in his life. This continues to this day.
Advice to Someone Desiring to Live from God’s Center
Make the choice for silence.
